Bobbi Broome is a Los Angeles based cinematographer working in narrative, experimental, and documentaries. She has a BA in Psychology from Kent State University and is currently pursuing an MFA in Film & TV Production from University of Southern California with a graduation date of May 2023.

With a passion for representation, Bobbi strives to create meaningful visuals rooted in empathy and the shared human experience. Being a Black woman, her focus prompts her to unravel the intersectional complexities faced by Black women and children across the diaspora, from all walks of life, exploring the margins that society has pushed them into.

Bobbi debuted her Director of Photography skills for the short film, Whole Milk (2021) and promptly followed up with Oh, My Kanekalon! (2021) and continues to enhance her cinematography skills through her educational curriculum and by working on sets in the camera department. She has directed 10 shorts, one of which landing her a win for best writing at the Kent State Independent Films Festival and a finalist position in the ConnectHER Film Festival in 2019. She has worked on a variety of short films for her fellow USC classmates, docuseries for VH1, and has recently snagged her first credit for a narrative feature film, currently in post-production.

When she is not on set, she is brushing up on her studies, roller skating, practicing her flute, and enjoying the sunshine.

Bobbi has worked on set with companies including Netflix, VH1, Issa Rae Productions, and NBC.
